A variation to the existing Resource Consent as part of Stage Two of the Library Lane development. This included modifying the mix of apartments within 3 buildings along the bush clad stream, changes to the planned pedestrian walkways, basement and street design.

Avondale Community-led Vision Workshop - In late September and early October 2018 Motu Design hosted three community-led vision workshops with the people of Avondale to explore what was important to the Avondale communities and enable a community voice as this area undergoes significant change (2018)
Avondale Community Urban Design Workshop - A community workshop to upskill Avondale residents and stakeholders with urban design skills to support increased participation on decision making in the Avondale town centre planning processes – design and facilitation of workshop including presentation, design analysis and exercises based on local area (For Whau Local Board, Auckland Council, 2016)
Whenuapai Submission - A submission on behalf of a semi-rural community group and school based in Whenuapai, West Auckland significantly impacted by the proposed Whenuapai Structure Plan and future urban zoning of their area – review constraints and opportunities of Whenuapai Structure Plan, preparation of submission including liason with community and school representatives and meeting with council officers to discuss potential outcomes following submission.

Avondale Community Advocacy - On-going liason and work since 2014 with Avondale Community Action group to support community input into town centre development outcomes - includes meetings, presentations and reports to council committees, council representatives and CCO’s.

Victoria Park Tunnel - Urban Design and Landscape Mitigation Plans that included the St Mary’s Bay Footbridge and walkways, negotiation on the relocation or the Rob Roy Hotel to its original location, the forecourt plaza design, various works with Victoria Park - design review, assistance on the management of approval processes to ensure optimal design outcomes, and assessment of multiple public spaces. Ponsonby Park - A competition entry for the community-led design of a new community park in the heart of Ponsonby. Motu Design were awarded 3rd place - initial concept design and spatial layout intended for further development in partnership with community. (2017)
