Motu Design specialises in urban design and the creation of sustainable urban environments that celebrate the uniqueness of Aotearoa / New Zealand within a global context.  Motu means island or region in Maori and many Pacific Island languages.  Our team is experienced at working within multi-disciplinary teams on complex urban projects, inclusive of landscape design.  We work at various scales, including multi-unit residential design, regional planning and precinct design, policy and rule development, lot layout and subdivision, design guidelines, collaboration with architects on building design and ongoing research into managing urban issues.
